Round Wheel Diamond Burs for Crown and Bridge Preparation

Eagle Round Wheel Diamond Burs are precision-engineered FG burs for high-speed handpieces. The wheel head reduces broad surfaces quickly and evenly, which makes it useful for reducing the occlusal surface in crown and bridge preparation. Each pack contains 5 burs, made in Israel.

G4 and G5 are two head sizes of the same design.

Round Wheel Bur vs Standard Wheel Bur

The round wheel has a rounded, spherical wheel profile that moves smoothly over the tooth surface, while the standard wheel shape diamond bur has a flatter wheel profile. Choose the round wheel when you want a rounded transition rather than a flat cut.

Reducing the Occlusal Surface with a Wheel Bur

Reduction has to be even and deep enough for the restorative material you plan to use. Cut depth grooves first, then reduce the surface between them following the cusp inclines, so the reduction keeps the original anatomy instead of leaving a flat table. The minimum thickness depends on the material (zirconia, lithium disilicate or metal-ceramic), so follow the restoration manufacturer's guidelines.
