NiTi Rotary Endodontic Files

Flexible, Fatigue-Resistant Files for Predictable Canal Shaping

These NiTi rotary files are engineered from nickel-titanium alloy for the flexibility and fatigue resistance that stainless steel can't match. The 6% taper files shape the coronal portion of the canal while the 4% taper files finish the apical third — giving you a smooth, consistent taper that simplifies obturation with standard gutta-percha points.

Faster preparation. Cleaner canals. Less risk of the complications that slow you down.

Why NiTi Over Stainless Steel?

Nickel-titanium's superelastic properties allow these files to follow the canal's natural curvature rather than forcing a path through it. This means reduced risk of ledge formation, canal transportation, and perforation — especially in molars with tight or S-shaped canals. NiTi also has significantly higher cyclic fatigue resistance, which lowers the chance of file separation at working length.

Available Assortments

Three pre-made sets, each containing 5-6 files matched to canal size:

Small Canal Set (NT-901SO) — $60 1x ST-10.35, 1x NT-04.20, 1x NT-04.25, 1x NT-06.20, 1x NT-06.25

Medium Canal Set (NT-902SO) — $60 1x ST-10.35, 1x NT-04.25, 1x NT-04.30, 1x NT-06.25, 1x NT-06.30

Large Canal Set (NT-903SO) — $60 1x ST-10.35, 1x NT-04.30, 1x NT-04.35, 1x NT-06.30, 1x NT-06.35

All files are also available individually in packs of 6 ($75 per pack) for clinicians who prefer to stock specific sizes.

Recommended Technique: Crown Down

  1. Establish straight-line coronal access with a No. 10 file.
  2. Create the glide path using a K manual file No. 010/015 and determine working length.
  3. Shape with 06 taper followed by 04 taper files to approximately 3mm short of working length.
  4. Complete apical finishing with 06 and 04 taper files to full working length.

Recommended Settings

Maximum speed: 300 RPM

Motor: Torque-controlled endodontic motor recommended

Pressure: Light apical pressure only — let the file do the work

Torque settings:

  • .04 taper files: 1.5–1.8 Ncm
  • .06 taper files: 2.4–2.9 Ncm

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What speed and torque should I use? A: Maximum 300 RPM with a torque-controlled motor. Set torque to 1.5–1.8 Ncm for .04 files and 2.4–2.9 Ncm for .06 files. Always use light apical pressure.

Q: Can these files be autoclaved? A: Yes. Standard autoclaving procedures apply. Inspect files before each use for signs of unwinding or deformation, and discard any compromised files.

Q: Which set should I start with? A: The Medium Canal Set covers the most common cases. For narrow or calcified canals, start with the Small set. For wider canals (upper centrals, lower premolars), the Large set is more appropriate. Many practices stock all three.

Q: Are these single-use files? A: These files can be sterilized and reused, but we recommend careful inspection before each use. Replace any file showing signs of unwinding, deformation, or reduced cutting efficiency. Many clinicians choose to use rotary NiTi files on a single-patient basis to minimize separation risk.

Q: How do these compare to ProTaper or WaveOne files? A: These are conventional continuous-rotation NiTi files with a proven 4% and 6% taper system. They follow the same crown-down principles used with most major NiTi systems. The key advantage is the price — premium NiTi alloy at a fraction of the cost of branded systems.

Q: Can I use these with any endodontic motor? A: Yes, compatible with any torque-controlled endodontic motor. Just set the RPM and torque to the recommended values above.

Q: Do you ship internationally? A: Express worldwide shipping via DHL and UPS. Free on orders over $250. Duties are included in the price — no surprise fees at delivery.
