Chirasorb PGA rapid braided sutures 24/pk

$115.00

Chirasorb rapid braided sutures are a short-term absorbable, coated, synthetic and multifilament. They are made of PGA: 90% glycolide and 10% L-lactide. The substances contained in the coating and suture are nonantigenic and noncollagenous.

Absorption begins as a loss of tensile strength without appreciable loss of mass. The product elicits a minimal acute inflammatory reaction in tissues.

Progressive loss of tensile strength and absorption of Chirasorb rapid braided occurs by hydrolysis, when the polymer is degraded to glycolic and lactic acids, which are subsequently absorbed and metabolised by the body.

Indications:

Skin closure (e.g. intracutaneous, subcutaneous), Paediatric surgery, Episiotomies, Circumcision, Closure of oral mucosa and Ophthalmic surgery for conjunctival sutures.

Contraindication:

Chirasorb rapid braided should not be used in tissues subject to expansion, stretching or distension, or which might require long-term mechanical support.
