How the Safe Edge Works

A conventional diamond bur cuts everywhere on its head, so extra pressure or a change of angle cuts deeper than planned. The OccluFinisher has a diamond-free safe edge that limits the cutting depth, which makes occlusal carving repeatable and protects the enamel and the neighbouring tooth.

Occlusal Sculpting Workflow

  • Build up with only a slight overfill and cure.
  • Carve the primary contours and fissures with the acorn-shaped head and generous water irrigation.
  • Refine with the extra extra-fine bur.
  • Check the occlusion with articulating paper, then polish.
