How to Use the Lindemann Bur for Bone Cutting
- Plan the cut from the radiograph or CBCT: bone, roots and nerve position.
- Choose the bur: straight for control and fine shaping, cross cut for faster removal in dense bone.
- Match the handpiece to the shank (FG high speed, RA low speed, HP low to medium speed) and use plenty of sterile irrigation.
- Cut with light, intermittent pressure to avoid overheating the bone.
- Replace the bur when it stops cutting cleanly.
